The Asheville-based band Ashes & Arrows has moved on to the quarterfinals of America's Got Talent.

This week, an Asheville country rock band is pushing forward on America's Got Talent, aiming for a spot in the semifinals.

Ashes & Arrows have successfully advanced beyond the audition stages of AGT, which were broadcast from May 28 to July 23, with their performance of "Born to Love." They are now headed into the quarterfinals, set to begin airing on Tuesday, August 13 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

This year, there's a new twist in the quarterfinals: each week, one AGT judge will have the power to award a "Live Show Golden Buzzer" to their favorite act, guaranteeing them a spot in the finals.

Additionally, viewers will select three more acts to move on to the semifinals. Voting is available during live shows at NBC.com/AGTVote or via the AGT App.

Who is the Asheville band on AGT?

According to their website, Ashes & Arrows' country/rock music is a "captivating mix of powerful harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and a dynamic stage presence." The band draws inspiration from artists like Needtobreathe, Judah & The Lion, and The Avett Brothers.

Their ties to Asheville are strong, with their biography noting that a 2021 open mic night downtown was where their "individual musical journeys came together."

Members Ciaran McMeeken, Benjamin Voigt and Jonathan Calhoun launched "Forward," their debut EP, in the fall of 2022. Now, the band plans to release a new album produced by Grammy and Emmy award-winning Jamie Tate of Nashville, Tennessee, along with hopes to continue their AGT journey.
